Idea is about making searching on plasma desktop more activity aware. Especially, this impacts:
- Per activity history of KRunner and K Menu
- Per activity baloo cache and index option (For example in My Custom Kernel Project Activity index *.c and *.h files)
- Per activity tags filter
- Maybe others in future

This sounds interesting, but are activities going to be supported on wayland?

As far as I known, there's KActivityD, which inform process about current activity changes via dbus. DBus session probably works on Wayland, so everything should works.
I read far far ago about plasma developers would drop virtual desktops on Wayland, but it is currently implemented under wayland or work in progress.
