The idea is about allowing to change template were are searched for.
Templates would be searched as now, but additionally in subdirectory ".templates" of current working directory. Additionally, searching for templates would be recursive. Thanks to recursion, we could import one's template directory into another. Additionally, each directory in .templates could have .directory file, where we can put list of directory that are templates. Why this idea? To made works faster. Imagine I'm working on big program in team. Someone could create .templates in main git directory and place link to it in all subdirectories. In this directory he places unit-test.c and directory named module. In module he putted Makefile, which will compile module_main.c and place also module_main.c file. In .directory of template .directory file he set module is an template of directory. We have here few ideas, which makes together could increase productive. Another use-case: I'm bookkeeper and I will create Financial Statements template inside special directory, where I will keep this kind of information. So I can open Financial Statements directory, right click on empty space in dolphin, select new and click Financial Statements. Financial Statement template will be OpenDocument Spreadsheet file. Of course - there's need to show user an information about this kind of templates are insecure.
