Heya!
This idea just came to me as I was sitting and practicing with Krita and a Wacom tablet. It would be nice if there could be a built-in web browser (Chromium?) so that you can easily trace stuff from the web. For me it would be great as a practice tool, but Im guessing more skilled artists could use it for references and such. My idea so far would be that a shortcut would turn the canvas into a web browser and when you have found your trace/reference piece, you can lock the view. A good thing would of course be if you can change opacity and after locking maybe be able to rotate. I have no idea how this would be implemented and I cant find anything similar to this idea so Im posting it here for brainstorming purposes! Thanks have a great day! |

Is this for some specific application (krita)?
Would it not be possible to just show both windows side-by-side?

Can't you just take a screenshot and drop it into Krita?
In the latest KDE release, the taken snapshot is displayed in a notification. You should be able to drag this image into Krita or you may click the on open in krita button. This works with any source (browser, game, ...) and any editor (krita, gimp, ...). The feature could be handy, but is really tied to two specific softwares. I thik such features just overload the ui. |
