I think it would be handy if Dolphin would have a feature which let's you create a network share by right-clicking a folder and enabling that function. I saw this feature first in Ubuntu and would love to see it in KDE Plasma as a feature.
It should work like this: Right click a folder and create a network share (if you have sufficient permissions to access that folder), allow to set user/anonymous access If Samba isn't installed already, it will automatically do so The folder will have an icon that shows that it's shared Right click a folder that's a network share and allow it to be disabled |

Kubuntu has this available via the package kdenetwork-filesharing, I believe, sharing code with Ubuntu. Not sure how much of a samba setup is distro-specific, other than the installation methods, of course. This alone might make a normally small addition a much larger. But maybe not.
