Hi,
i like KDE very much, but one thing i'd like to be optimized is the file transfer information. Usually file managers use file transfer popup dialogs which show file transfer speed and status. This is important to be always visible to avoid forgetting large transfers and maybe end with incomplete file transfers. E.g. unmounting an usb device or unmounting network shares prior finishing transfers. Dolphin uses only a notification in the taskbar for file transfer. The old Dolphin transfer popup window can't be enabled anymore with new versions. Therefore i ask for an option in dolphin/notification settings to let this notification always be maximized (including maximized transfer speed details) until the job is finished. The rotating circle in the takbar can be overlooked very easily. I also like to see transfer speed to my network share without doing additional clicks everytime on the notification icon and then maximize details. Maybe a status bar of file transfers in the Dolphin tab/window would be another idea to gain transfer visibility. pappl |

If you are using the plasma desktop then the plasma desktop is capturing Dolphin/kio notifications. You could enable the Dolphin/kio notification from the plasma settings: viewtopic.php?f=66&t=152785#p399772
There is a new notification plasmoid planned: https://phabricator.kde.org/D20266 |

I've followed the steps but the transfer popup opens behind the Dolphin window. Not visible, i have to move the file manager to see the popup. So i added popup window option "Always on top" in special window settings (right click menu in popup title bar). Now the popup stays always on top until copy/move finished. I wish to somehow open the progress bar with copy speed details maximized by default.
