We have detect silence and detect loud. What do you say about detecting read request on terminal slave device? I think it would be possible by some magic with poll and ioctl on master device.
Why this feature? Silence was fired, when there's silence during some period of time. In fact, it fired, when no new text on terminal window appears during some period of time. Read operation could be more practical, because it could been fired, when application is closed and shell request input, or in case, when application request input.
