Backspace in Konqueror

Mon Sep 09, 2019 4:51 am
By default the Konqueror should use backspace as default key to go back.... i think this would be useful for many users.

Re: Backspace in Konqueror

I would definitely agree as that's the default behavior for most browsers.
I think the reason why it isn't is probably due to Konqueror not being a dedicated browser per-se, but a wrapper around various component applications which includes among other things a web view, a folder view and a text editor; so depending on which component application is active backspace may need to mean different things since backspace in the text editor view should probably be interpreted as remove the previous character.

At the very least, I believe the Alt+left/right shortcuts should be standard across browsers, including Konqueror; so you could just use that instead.
