Sometimes it would be preferable to the user to simply mount a USB flash drive (or other media) without opening the contents of the disk in a file explorer. Could an action of this sort be added to the Device Notifier?

I absolutely second that. In about 80% of all cases I am _not_ interested in dolphin launching, since I want to interact with the volume using a shell (terminal).

One would need to know where in the file system the volume has been mounted to. Maybe a simple "Path has been copied to the clipboard" would be enough here. Plus a notification maybe.

I have noticed the small mount button on the removable media menu across from the device icon, so I guess the mount button does exist. However, maybe it could be made more obvious and have a label of some sort?
