I use Plasma on a daily basis. And I love to customize my desktop here and there. What occurs to me, is the multiple locations to change wallpaper for either the lock screen, SDDM, and the desktop wallpaper. If it was all in one location, say the wallpaper location under desktop settings (section for the desktop, section for the lock screen and SDDM), it would be more organized IMO. That might be another idea for the oncoming 5.19 version.

You can't as SDDM is not the same as a running Plasmashell, so you can't change wallpapers in those two different settings at once. Comparing apples with oranges here...
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

What about just the lock screen wallpaper and the desktop wallpaper then? Is that possible? Aren't those running in Plasmashell? Not that this is major deal. Just a suggestion. |

Probably yes, I would think. Not something I would use personally as I like to have different Wallpapers in these

There could be two sections under it. One to change the desktop wallpaper, one to change the lock screen wallpaper. So say if the option to change the lock screen wallpaper was right beneath the desktop wallpaper option. |
