I recently found that Artha which is a really great app for english dictionary whose advantage to say Golden Dictionary is that it resides off-line hasn't been updated since 2012. I tried cloning the Git repo recently and get an installation error so I guess the whole package needs a serious revision. Not sure if there is anyone interested in looking into this as a "KDE" project and perhaps amplifying its scope by adding other European languages. Its written in "C" and I am somewhat more familiar with C++.
This is the source forge repo: https://sourceforge.net/projects/artha/

I am using Arch and its found on the AUR where I have left a comment: even the maintainer is in difficulty..... see link: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/artha/

thanks :)

This is very unlikely to happen, as the codebase is GTK, and to be a KDE application it would have to change to a Qt codebase. Looks like a very heavy change to make, and it has to be proposed by a developer actually working on it.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
