Here are two suggestions :

1. A virtual keyboard who is working well on the desktop and on the login/lock screen. A virtual keybooard is necessary for people who have hybrid pc (laptop/tablet) or a tablet like (Surface of Microsoft). If necessary porting the external virtual keyboards available on Xorg/X11 on Wayland (for example: Qtvkbd who is for me the must).
I recommand you to test Qtvkbd on the plasma session and you will understand why I say that.

2. Have an alternative of Kgamma or xgamma on Wayland. The night color option is not for me the best option to set the colors of the screen or to correct the gamma on the screen.
