I love the KDE Global Menu. However, I've experienced usability issues with the global menu in a few applications. I wish there was an option to disable the global menu just for those applications...

E.g:

Lazarus IDE:
(Menu disappears since IDE is broken up into several windows.)

Qalculate:
(Some sub-menus just don't open when clicked.)

While workarounds do exist sometimes, it might be more convenient to just disable global menu for these apps rather than trying to find a patch.

Other information: I use the global menu with Psifidotos' Window AppMenu plasmoid.

In my opinion, global menu should have one of option:
1. Allow to select another window of active application
2. Keep menu of previous window if selected window doesn't have menu

Thanks Lachu. I think those options would be useful. They would provide a workaround for the specific issues that I mentioned in my first post.

However, I still think that I would need an option to disable the global-menu for some apps, because of all the other issues that I sometimes face.

For example, some apps, such as Lazarus IDE (pictured in my 1st post) do not display icons in the global menu.

I think it is possible to disable the global-menu for GTK apps entirely, which is probably what I will do for now.
