KDE for Windows and WSL Shell

Wed Jan 20, 2021 9:31 am
Using the KDE project as a replacment for windows explorer shell (see cairo shell for taskbar hook etc) + addional support for wsl1 or wsl2 (with the new gpu-able version)
The idea would be to create a light version of a window/tiling manger with advanced support for linux aplications wich idially would use the kde gui renderer on windows to show the linux gui from wsl. (e.g linux apps send gui as text instructions in gpu and the rendererd from kde translate them in the gpu ram)

wsl1 is faster but has less features , wsl2 is only a fancy VM but could if hardend improve security (?)

.. why not ^^ nobody needs this but it would be fany
