I think Plasma should have a shutdown screen, similar to the blue screen that displays when you shut down in Windows. It could just be the same as the splash screen. It would help because sometimes I click the shut down button but I get no visible response. It takes a few seconds for apps to start closing and the system to shut down.

I think it would stop anyone from being confused for a second, wondering if it is actually shutting down, and it would make Plasma more polished.

This is handled by your distribution, as once you have closed Plasma the computer shutdown is no longer Plasma related anyway.
