Currently, GNOME provides better support for touch screens, but it requires touchscreen. Currently, touchscreens are not well supported on GNU/Linux. Additionally, there's no touchscreens on older computers.
Idea is to allow do gesture by two analog on joypad (by pressing additionally some key, like A) or by two mice (on one mouse user must left-click). Xinput 2 allow us to listen events of mice independently, but there is no software using it.
