Many years ago there was idea to create "buik icons" in dolphin.

I have similar idea, but for left-panel of Kontakt. It is place, where link to associated applications are placed.
In my opinion, there should be two action buttons for each bigger/program icon:
1. Create new
2. Synchronize

For mail client, create new will create a new mail, but Synchronize will synchronize each mail account. For calendar app, create new will add new event and synchronize will synchronize calendars. Simple?

Other solution could be global icons in top panel. This buttons will be shown on each app. It will be create new and synchronize. Activating one will call associated action for all programs assembled in Konctact suite. When pressing more than 5 secounds, popup menu will appear with possibility to select application.
