This topic is about three solution of removing files placed in removable storage. What is the problem? When we moving file to trash, it isn't compressed and it is placed on the same disk, where it was placed. In fact, we do not release place, when moving file to trash.
Solutions: 1. Warn user, when he/she move to trash a file placed on external storage. Tell user about this case and inform he/she there is no space been freed 2. Offer to compress file in trash directory To integrate with another tools (non-kde), you could provide FS mounted as FUSE and do some stuff to show this FS in places on each file manager 3. Allow to empty trash from external media, when there is no space on it and user need it (most stupid solution)
