Hello community,

To make disk cloning in KDE more user friendly I would like to request the following:

The general idea:
Notify a user when the secondary GPT header is not at the end of the disk. (either in GUI somewhere or atleast through logging mechanism)

Extra:
Propose the user to fix this issue if he chooses to.

How and why I came up with this suggestion:
I cloned a disk to a larger disk (using dd)
I then wanted to move partitions around and expand them on that disk with KDE partitionmanager, which was not possible because the GPT header was at the end of the last partition and not the end of the disk.

I can assist implementing this if required?

Kind regards,

Joe
