I think some apps (dolphin and kate, for example), should allow to alter settings in per-directory manner. Both should test directory have special tag (for example: C++ Projects) or belongs to some activity (such like Programming).
Use case: I am developer and need to open terminal dock, when working with my project files. I do not need to work with terminal, while copying some text documents to removable media to print it on the town or viewing photos, etc. Also, Konsole could alter settings too. For example on C++ Project directory, it could load different profile than on Python project directory (different look and aliases). Also, add `kde-konsole-load-profile profile_name --bash` command support, such like gpg-agent saves to environment some stuff, this command could alter bash environment (load some given profile) and maybe konsole profile too?
