I do much of my energy saving with systemd scripts/services.
It'd be more convenient to have profiles in PowerDevil, perhaps per time of day or specific application windows open/focused. For instance users could have an option to do 1-minute sleep during the day or 5-minute shut down during the night. Or, 1-minute sleep when they have a set office application open or 5-minute shut down when watching content. The "per activity" power management is good, but I think the recent hikes in energy bills merit more customization. This helps enormously the environment and of course the energy bills. |
