Instead of making different way to ran different overview's layout, allow to switch them. Allow to ran main overview (for example by pager, taskbar or keyboard shortcut). User may switch between them by pressing buttons or tabs. I think, there should window appear near mouse with possibility to switch overview kind.
By overview I mean present windows, present desktops, overview, etc.

Well, there are corner bindings. Certain widgets, like the one I use, active window control have a click feature. Or, you could make your own desktop application which I just did to show how. Since the keybind for overview, on my rig, is meta+w, I made a desktop application that emulates the shortcut and placed it on the panel. Done. https://imgur.com/a/cwdCiYq That's just for overview, but I supose you could make a menu for the several layouts although I don't see the point of it. And btw, you can also do this as a service menu. But that will work in dolphin only of course.
This realm's name is Maya. And she speaks Hertz. But Ahamkara makes a fuzz about it.
