KNewStuff should include the option of automatically updating previously downloaded items. This should be configurable by category, so for example one could auto-update themes for Plasma without auto-updating plasmoids.

This should also include a roll-back option, so users who find their functionality broken in a subsequent release can immediately revert to their previous version.

Ideally, this would eventually include a system of dependency resolution for plasmoids, though this is understandably not foreseeable in the near future.
