One of the problems with the KNewStuff dialogue is that it continues to show things that aren't in fact "new". There should be [separate] options to hide all previously displayed and installed items, configurable by add-on type (wallpaper, plasmoids, Plasma themes, etc.) to filter out material that has already been installed or rejected.
