One of the biggest things I miss from Dragon player is the ability to scale a video by a certain factor. For instance set it to 2 times the video's original resolution, 5 times, 1/2 the original resolution, 1/4, etc. You can set it to "reset video scale", which scales it to video's real resolution, but setting it to some fraction or multiple of the video's resolution is not possible. A lot of videos seem to look best when set at a whole-number multiple or fraction of their original resolution, so I would really like to see this feature added.

I quite like the idea of this. In fact we have an open Wishlist item on it here: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=165315

Is there a better approach than adding an extra submenu to the 'settings' menu? Something like

Video Scale -> 1/4 size
1/2 size
1 size
2 size
4 size

and place it just above/below 'Aspect Ratio'
I guess it should probably be in the context menu too.

Is 'Video scale' clear enough wording? It doesn't imply to me that it's going to resize your window.

Other than that, I'm happy to code it up.
