I love using konsole tabs, but I find myself in a situation where I have multiple tabs sshed to the same remote system. When I need to restart my local system because of a kernel update, I lose my tabs' state. I could use screen on the remote system to solve my problem, but I prefer to use konsole tabs. I think it would be excellent if konsole had some means of interacting with screen on a remote system, allowing my local system to resume its session on the remote system after a local reboot.

I agree, that would be an excellent feature. Everyone in my lab uses screen to log on-and-off remote sessions, but I'd just miss my konsole-tabs too much to switch . It'd be just plain great if konsole would provide some kind of front-end or screen like behavior for remote sessions.
Come on guys, vote this one up! |
