Hi !

I recently tried the preview plasmoïd from KDE and just found it great... but not much usefull in the end. I was wondering if it would not be nice to allow it to automaticly to pre-load the recently downloaded files (from Kopete, Konqueror, KGet, KTorrent...).

I really would like to have this feature soon !

I think this would be better as a separate widget, but I think it is a very good idea. It could also show the last certain number of files (either over a period of time or a particular number), which would have to be user-configurable.

Tirely yes !

And some features like "Watch a folder" (or various folders at the same time) would'nt be bad also !

Right now, no, because it can't use the Plasma preview thing, which is actually not so usefull, and would be with this kind of feature.
It has very much potential. We just have to find some ideas how to make it shine.

I'd like this. another useful feature I can think of is if you could assign a shortcut to preview the selected file in the file manager KPart, i.e. in Konqueror or Dolphin.

maybe I should open another thread for that...

Yeah, creating a new idea would be the way to go.

No need to with my mod-superpowers I can disattach your thread and change it to a idea.
If you wish.
You can still post your idea if you think that this post doesn't really explains enough how this would be done...

Anyway I solved this problem so that I have a folderview widget set to downloads a special folder where all new files downloaded from net. And It's refreshing when I download a new file.
So I fell it's solved.
But still for those files that need more than 2sec. to download KGet plasmoid shows progress. And it's a designated KDE download manager. (But I still prefer KTorrent to it)
