Inlay images into Konsole

Thu Mar 26, 2009 1:43 pm
Hi.

I would like Konsole to show images.

For simplification, I am talking about really small icons, maybe 12x12 pixels or similar.

I would like to use small coloured dots, and escape codes to "insert" them.
(I already have all the images I want to use locally, but for the sake of discussion, lets look at the smilies on the left side when you write a reply)

The reason I would like to have it is actually for scripts, i.e. when I write a script FOR MY PERSONAL USE, and the script gives back a warning, I would love to have a little red arrow appear next to this warning.

Maybe this is not possible in konsole, however I would just love to have this ability to inlay tiny images into konsole. The mouse could be used on them too, for some effects (such as open in browser, start kmail etc...)

You know you could change text color in your scripts for warnings...

Try this:
Code: Select all
echo -e "e[01;31m => e[01;32m Warning e[00m"

Have a look here.
