I don't quite understand. You cannot drag "Kwin," as it is the window manager and you can't even see it. You can drag windows to other virtual desktops by dragging their task manager entries (in the panel) to the virtual desktop represented in the desktop pager.

I mean, drag the window's titlebar to the desktop paginator to move to 'n' desktop the dropped window. But if possible to do the same action (I can't try it now) with the task manager entries, it's equally valid for me.

This is already possible (at least in trunk).

I still don't know what you wish. (It's a good thing that Hans knows).
I manage my windows on virtual desktop with scroll on title bar and active borers. Oh now I know what you wish. The whole Kwin thing confused me, you can now move windows representations in pager widget. But I'm still a bit lost how would this be done with tasks? Do you wish to move a task by drag'n'droping it on a pager or do you wish that taskmanager would somehow tag or arrange tasks by desktops and rearaging them would move them from one to another desktop?

As far as I understand, the OP wants to move windows to other virtual desktops by dragging and dropping them to the pager. Let's say I have Konqueror on desktop 1. If I want to move the window to desktop 2, I would drag the actual window (e.g. by dragging its titlebar) and drop it on desktop 2 in the pager.
The other idea, which is already implemented (and would belong to a new thread anyway), is to drag tasks from the taskbar and drop on the pager to move windows to another desktop.

I see. But I personally don't think it's really needed. As I said before you can drag&drop windows representations in pager.
So this part is in some sort also already implemented. And I personal feel that it makes more sense than drag&drop actual window.

I confirm that this is possible in KDE 3.5.9 and also in KDE 4.2.1. |
