sorry if this is a duplicate, i couldnt think how to search for it using 4 letter search terms, given the two main components are "gui" and "cli", linked by who knows how many potential alternatives.

if a gui opperation has a cli equivalent, the command should present itself on screen, either as a fairly inobtrusive flashing up, and/or some method which would allow the user to copy the command, this would increase the pace at which mere end-only users become competent participants in developement from a deaper level.

this is an idea i have had for years, presented it a couple of times in various places, seemingly to no avail... perhaps it is time for this idea's dawn....

(if i remember (or am reminded), and find the time to allocate to it, i may be back with some graphical representations of how i envision this may appear once implimented.)

just before posting, thought it might be wise to include cli and gui written out full, see if that helps for future searchers. ;)
command line interface (or input i suppose)
graphical user interface (or input i suppose)
