It would be nice if there would be a possibility to make an event which would start some action - for me main usage woul be to send emails, for example on some ocassion. Generally I would like compose an email for someone, and make KOrganizer send it on a specified date. It would however require implementation of KMails encrypt/sign settings, cause I would like it to send the email without any actions from the user, so the email would have to be unsigned not to ask for key password.
I know KOrganizer can execute scripts/programs, so that would be a nice addition |

You can probably do this already using xdg-email

OK, so it is possible using the mentioned script execution.
Using KMail however would greatly simplify the process for less experienced users. I would also make it more obvious. |

One of the internal improvements of KDE4 is that the code for sending emails has been moved to a library, so Korganizer could send emails itself just like KMail does.
This might become even easier once all KDE PIM apps are directly based on Akonadi, though that will take bit longer. Cheers, _
