I have many folders with media that are best accessed in a particular order, e.g. videos and comic books. However, I sometimes forget which was the last video I viewed or comic book I read. I'm sure that I can't be the only person with this problem so this led me to imagine possible solutions to this.

1) Within Dolphin one is able to "pin" a file. This file would then have another little icon over it, like a push pin or something like that, to make it easily identifiable as the last accessed file in the folder or the next file to be accessed when viewing that media again.

2) A second possibility is to configure a folder property in dolphin so that when the folder is opened the file with the most recent access timestamp is highlighted in some way, possibly with a small image over the icon as in 1 above.

You are suggesting bookmarks for Dolphin. Excellent idea!

I believe its not bookmarks (still similar), since the could be more than 1 bookmark in 1 folder, but last accessed file - just one.

By having it as bookmarks you would have to delete previous episode bookmark manually, unless some behavior like https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2886 would be developed.
