Hello, after clicking on Time Plasmoid on Panel there is calendar showing, it is quite boring to have only calendar there. Gnome got locales and weather, Windows 7 the same. What about Kde? I think we should add something there to not be so boring.

Also I would like to have calendar widget linked to "to-do" list in KPIM.
I know that there is a special To-Do widget but at least marking days on which you have set some agenda in normal Calendar (stand alone and clock version).

In other words, KDE4 already supports this. Now we just need cool Extenders. ;-)

Cool didn't know that. But then again I haven't use KPIM for a long time. And yes I agree with extenders.
But OP's idea is still valid. Even though there is World clock that does what is proposed, only thing is, that world clock should act as a normal clock in panel and
then when clicked the extender would show up showing both world clock and calender.

Especially in the calendar applet these extensions might become useful. Now Akonadi is in place, both todo's and the agenda items can be shown in an extender of the calendar. This is a good idea :)

"A Geolocation data engine will ship with KDE 4.3. "
I found this in this section, then what do you think community/developers to place information about GeoLocation on Calendar?=)[hr]

So it's done more or less. We just have to wait until KDE4.3.

Improve Calendar! [GeoLocation?]

Fri Oct 16, 2009 3:29 pm
actually, this *should* be possible right now (havent tried it myself yet):

There is a todo-list plasmoid:
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.ph ... tent=90706
and an eventlist plasmoid
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.ph ... ent=107779

putting these two plasmoids and the calender plasmoid into this
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.ph ... ent=112094
container plasmoid should do the job.

Of course the geo localisation would still be missing but i doubt its benefit anyway, i cant image a situation i want to look up where i am...

All that needs to be done is putting that all together and icluding it in kde 4.4 anyone?

EDIT: fixed an url
