Hi, I often need a Project manager.
I think that many users could need a project manager that help they to manage contact, to do list, comunications, revisions, schedules (deadlines), files synchronize, to buy list, models and file through different projects ... that could be display in different tab.

This idea lacks both a clear description of what it is supposed to do and why it is needed.

Well I think it wants something similar to KPIMs To-Do list.
But I agree OP should clarify description.

Most of that could probably be accomplished by Kontact. If you need a more advanced project manager (a la Microsoft's Project), OpenProj might be what you want (a java app, but still).

What would be about a few additional Kontact features?
-Creating projects and give possibilities to say "this email, notice, task belongs to project xyz" -Managing project-documents -Access to Version Control Systems |

Maybe features like:
- Task and time tracking; - Team tracking (list and description of team member, contact info, etc); - Bug tracking (maybe to do some integration for Bugzilla or Mantis or some other bug tracking system); - Project documentation; |

Added tag.
And I would like to see a to-do list that would synchronize every app and device you use. A To-Do list that would be able to export your to-do list to your mobile phone, e-mail address or any other device, app, ... that you wish.

Task, Team and Time tracking exist in Plasma
But there should be an option to do it project specific. Maybe a Plasma based interface could be useful. There could be Plasmoids like: -Version control -Notes -Command launchers -Task overview -Sending information to team members - Access to tools like Bugzilla, Doxygen, Kate, KDevelop and others -A Document manager for project specific documents |

Hi, I don't have an exact idea of the list of the feature that every project need. I'm sure that needs:
- to do list and revisions for project, single files, or single member - team manager/tracking - a document synchronization system for every app / device / or team's members PC ... |

I've never used it, but KPlato is a Project Manager.

I think the KPlato features could be quite useful. But when I want to develop a Free Application and want to organize some tasks and to get a better overview, KPlato does not help me.
An integration of KPlato into Kontact would be quite useful for a real project manager. But there should also be other features some of you and me have listed above. It should be a real allround-solution enabling controlling other processes and applications. |

I think that an "extension" for Dolphin may be the best solution...
