Hi,
I'm not sure if this is a right place to post this idea as it's not related to the software change, but as topic says it's brainstorm so here we go. I've recently read the post on planet from Aaron where he said that not all GSoC projects will be accepted due to financial limitations. Here is my idea, let create Kde Summer(winter/autumn) of code once a year. There should be one account for receiving donations and sponsorship money given especially for this purpose and once a year the KDE board will announce the time for projects. Once they will collect have all ideas the KDE board will choose the best projects (best in any way is needed :) and people can start work on it. Generally this idea shouldn’t want to be paid for application development, it should just speed up development of whole KDE project and it bring us closer to the world domination :) Cheers, jofko |
