According, to this implemented brainstorm thread, the KDE Twitter has now become the microblogging plasmoid. My idea is to add the Facebook status update support in that microblogging plasmoid.

Hi!
That would be really good. I've been lookin everywhere for a facebook microbloggin tool, for kde4, and all I could find was TweetDeck, wich doesen't work correctly (can't even restore after minimize). The plasmoid should not only let you update your status on facebook as well as your twitter's, but also view your friends updates on facebook, as it does it with twitter, but, like you said, smaller (the kdetwitter plasmoid it's just to big!). I hope someone would make such plasmoid soon, because facebook is very popular in my country, and I hate being able to do almost everything without even opening my browser, except for checking facebook updates. It's a must on a social integrated kde. If I could program, I would love to do it. Good Luck! Santiago Ladislao |

Either adding it on to the Twitter plasmoid, or creating on for Facebook would be great. I am not as fond of Twitter as I am of Facebook, but I twitter all the time now because of the plasmoid on my menu bar.
You think we could BONK someone in the head over at Facebook to develop one? - Scott |

OpenNetworx-Support would be great. I think those projects should be supported by a non-commercial-project like KDE.

There is a plasmoid for facebook available on kde-look.org. It works fine, although personally I think having it, and other social platforms, available in the same widget would make more sense.
