I think it would be nice if you could set the comic widget to automatically switch to the next or previous strip after a period of time. I don't mean a different comic series, the widget can do that already, but the next or previous strip (or perhaps random) in a given series.
Besides being good from a normal user perspective, it would be extremely useful from a testing perspective if you set the time interval to be short since you can quickly see if there are any problems. Currently testing an engine for a long series is really tedious.

If you are using trunk/4.3 beta enable "tab mode". A timer options should then appear.

Oh, well, good to know the feature is already implemented in 4.3, but I'm using 4.2 (Gentoo arch), so I'll have to wait (or build it by hand).
I wondered (and that's why I came here in the first place) if it may be possible to add a "fix this corner"-option? I would like to put the comic-applet in the upper right corner. Due to automatic resizing of the frame and pictures of different sizes, small pictures (for example the current xkcd) end up in the middle of the screen with a lot of space to the right, which I find unpleasant. If I could fix the upper right corner and it would expand to the left and down if needed... that would be great. /e: My English gets worse after midnight
