There are a lot of nice splash screens for KDE 4.2.x which do not show correctly for my resolution (1680x1050). This is because KSplash only supports PNG files. If the background could be an SVG file, this would eliminate the scaling problems.
I've been wanting to design a few splash screens but I'm waiting for this feature before beginning. I hate having to create 10 different images catering to every screen resolution. |

Well the problem is a lot of the images one might put on a splash screen, like a photo or a logo, are raster so those would still need multiple resolutions. SVG support still sounds like a good idea though.
Proudly dual-booting openSUSE 11.1 with KDE 4.3 and Windows Vista on a Toshiba A205-S4577 since July 2007.
