It could be nice/useful a plasmoid containing my kopete contacts



I have posted this brainstorm also on kde-look

It works well with the app-embedder-Plasmoid. I have tried it, it's very nice.
Only rotation does not work.
Maybe there could be something like a "K-Part-Plasmoid".

You can do it also via Lancelot parts.

How can I use it?
In my KDDE there are two Lancelot-Applets, the menu and a unusable applet without doing anything. (just a configuration dialog)

You can take the part you would like to have on your desktop out of menu and drop it to your desktop...

@Ivan: is it possible that in trunk the contacts part is not working? It doesn't show me any plasmoids at the moment...

When something is 'unusable', that usually implies that you don't know how to use it and that you should read the documentation

Haven't started Kopete in a while, I'll have to check it.

Or I ask somewhere when there is a good occasion.
