Currently, with the default settings sometimes when you shut down and restart applications you had open in your previous session start again in the new session. This is generally a good thing, with programs living in the system tray getting correctly restored. The problem is that sometimes, even if you close something it is still considered part of the session and starts up again the next time. Other times it may not be clear that something is even running. So I think it would be good if in the "Session Manager" module for "System Settings", it displays a list of all programs that are considered part of the current session, those that will be restarted when you logout and login again. With each, you have the option to remove it from the list so it doesn't start up next time or add it to the "Applications to be excluded from sessions" list so it is never remembered.
