I propose integrate tabs in each panel - not for all window.
At screenshot I put two window. This is my workplace. It will be great to have all this in one window.
We can observe this approach in Directory Opus and Krusader.


P.S. Directory Opus works on wine. We can se how looks and works this the best filemanager
