Kakuro (see the Wikepida page is a mathematical puzzle that could considered a cross between Sudoku and a traditional crossword. Instead of having a regular grid, the grid is more like a crossword puzzle. And the objective is not to full in all numbers from a set, instead the object is to fill in each row and column so the numbers add up to a certain, given amount.
However, I think it is similar enough in the general idea (a crossword-like mathematical puzzle where you need to fill in numbers in a grid) that I think KSudoku would benefit from having this as one of the puzzles. You can see a picture below: A bit off topic, but this page has a huge number of Sudoku variants. Obviously not all of them can be added, but some might be worthwhile: Soduko Variants
