Some newer versions of Tetris add blocks that include one, two and three squares in addition to the normal four-square blocks. Of course purists would not want this, but enabling it as an option I think would be worthwhile. I personally prefer it, dealing with these sorts of shapes adds new strategies and pitfalls. The four additional shapes are as follows (each 0 represents a square):
