Well, that's it. You can zoom out by using ctrl + mouse wheel, but then in order to zoom into a concrete activity you have to click on a small button. I think it would be easier to use double click, people may navigate far faster between activities (ctrl + wheel and then double click in a "big enough" square).

I didn't know about the ctrl-mousewheel trick to zoom out (and I can't try it either at the moment). Can't you use ctrl-mousewheel (in the other direction) to zoom in? I don't see why double click would be better than ctrl-mousewheel.

The behaviour for scrolling in the other direction is a bit strange. Just an example:
- Let's start with 1 activity - Zoom out (ctrl + scroll down) - Add another activity - Having the mouse pointer over the first one try to zoom in (ctrl + scroll up). Nothing happens. - Having the mouse pointer over the second one try again. It zooms into the first one. - Zoom out again. Click on the zoom in button of the second one. Fine. - Zoom out. Now you can't zoom in using the mouse, no matter where the pointer is. - Zoom into the first one using the button. - Zoom out. Again you can zoom into the first one with the mouse if the pointer is over the second one. I don't know if that's a bug of 4.2.0, but i'm sure this makes no sense for most of the people. The zoom in solution by scrolling in the other direction is another option (i like it), assuming you control the target activity with the mouse pointer. That would be great too. The "problem"? If you zoom out twice using this schema you'll also have to zoom in twice, while you will need just one step with the double click solution. Regards |

That does indeed sound like a bug.
Why wouldn't you need to zoom in twice with double click? As far as I know, when you zoom out the second time, the intention is to see all groups of activities. With other words, you won't see separate activities:
(To clarify, I'm not talking about the current ZUI, but rather what it will be in the future) The page isn't up to date, so it's possible that the Plasma devs have other plans.
