There are many Internet connections that require a login through a web page.
On the PSP (Playstation Portable), you can set up a connection so that when you connect, the web browser pops up allowing you to log in, and then once you are logged in, it has a message saying you can close the browser. Why can't the NetworkManager plasmoid do the same? If you explicitly set up a connection so that the web browser plasmoid will pop up on connection to the network, and disappear once it can ping google, or something. I just really hate having kmail, kopete, and firefox live bookmarks annoying me about connection because they thing everything is go just because i'm connected. |
