Maybe this already exists. I'd like a smooth way to move onto the next image when I'm using a "slide show" for the background, and the random image that has just come up just doesn't seem to work with my plasma theme. A simple command (that I could turn into a global keyboard shortcut) would do nicely. Currently, the only way I know how to recast the image is to right click, click on appearance setting when the menu comes up, click on apply, click on OK. It's tough on the wrist. What I'd really like is a keyboard shortcut that would take me to the next image. I think there's a good chance that once again, you're way ahead of me on this.

There is a Next Wallpaper Plasmoid, but it does not support keyboard shortcuts. Therefore, I will leave this open.
