Currently it is very easy to show the plasma dashboard using the mouse. For instance you can click the "show dashboard" widget or set the pager to show it when you click the current desktop. Hiding it using the mouse, however, is much more difficult, requiring that you click the cashew and select "hide dashboard". I think, at least as an option, users should be able to make it so clicking on any blank space on the dashboard (anywhere without a widget) automatically hides it.

Wasn't this feature in 4.1 days (at least openSUSE) ? As far as I understand it more like regression than future request.
