More options for dialog boxes's menus.
For example: Rename, Open, Open to..., Copy, Paste, Send to trash, etc... Mockup: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=59659 |

File dialogs are file dialogs, not full-blown file managers. I am quite content with the amount of options that it already has. (Delete, move to trash, and create new folders) Throwing more options for the sake of putting more options everywhere just leads to clutter.

I agree with the monotreme, the point of the file dialog box is to do two things: open files, and save files. Other actions should be handled by a real file manager.

In my opinion, to force to the user to open another application for this lack isn't a user friendly thing. For it, I think that you should give more priority to the usability, because but with these functionalities, dialog boxes will continue being dialog boxes, but a bit more practical.
The feature is available in M$ Windows. Thank you for listening me.

I don't think this could do any harm. We have much more free space than we use. Just don overload
Also additional options could be very useful, like we want to attach a file, but unfortunately it is still in tarball. right click to extract would be nice ![]() |
