I think there should be button in the dialog box used for opening and saving files that allows you to open the current folder in dolphin for additional file management. The original dialog would stay open so you could save or open the desired file. Alternatively it could be a check box that says "open this folder in file manager when finished", which would open the folder in a file manager after you save or load whatever it is you are saving or loading.
