Currently there is a lunar elevation map, but no similar map for Earth. I think this sort of map is very useful, far more useful for the Earth than for the moon.

The earth's atlas map is such an elevation map. In case you dislike the colors there's a geeky way to change them: Look for seacolors.leg and landcolors.leg and edit them with a text editor. /usr/local/share/apps/marble/data/seacolors.leg /usr/local/share/apps/marble/data/landcolors.leg And before you ask: Adding a GUI for this kind of thing is out of the scope of Marble development.
