Presently in Digikam you can drag a tag from the tag section of the sidebar to a picture and drop it there to assign it to that picture, or drop it in a blank area to assign it to all pictures in the current view. It would be nice if we could drag a tag to a folder in the Albums bar on the left and drop it there, giving us the option to apply the tag to the folder contents and an option to apply the tag to the folder contents and the contents of all of its subfolders. There might also be an option to associate a folder with one or more tags, so any picture that gets put in that folder automatically gets those tags applied to it. This could also be recursive.
